Offended? Don’t be. This is not a site to bash mommies, no… On the contrary, it is to be a place to commiserate of comfort. A place for stories to gather… a place for moms to be reminded — you are not alone!
Here at Mom Fail we are seeking to bring the REAL stories of motherhood… the ones that tell the truth. And the truth is this: as hard as we try, we all feel (the honest ones) like we fail at this whole “mom thing” at one point or another… some more often than others *looks in mirror*. We set expectations for ourselves and children and feel the burn of the stare from a stranger when Billy goes “Cybil” in the grocery store line. We feel like failures, but we have not really failed. Our kids have failed. It’s just life with children. Just is
Moms… we are survivors. The fact is, we are dealing with little people with strong wills and limbs that sometimes tear and grab like a Category 5 tornado cutting through a shanty town… or sometimes they act with the stealth of a UFO. Oooh. Silence. *shiver*…
The mission here at Mom Fail is to provide a place to share those stories. The stories where at first glance we look or feel like we have failed, but in reality… it’s just life with children, and really… these stories are usually just plain funny!
Through our journey we are learning that even the best parenting practices don’t work every time. These people we lovingly refer to as “our children” have wills and ways. It is foolish to think “my child will NEVER”, because… the child will. He will. The only way society can use the word “never” to describe life with kids is this –
Kids will say and do things you NEVER imagined.
